GeForce GTX Titan 288384 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 870M 96000 MB/sec
Difference: 192384 (200%)

Texel Rate

The GeForce GTX Titan is quite a bit (approximately 78%) more effective at texture filtering than the GeForce GTX 870M. (explain)

GeForce GTX Titan 187488 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 870M 105392 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 82096 (78%)

Pixel Rate

The GeForce GTX Titan will be a lot (about 78%) better at anti-aliasing than the GeForce GTX 870M, and should be able to handle higher screen resolutions without slowing down too much. (explain)

GeForce GTX Titan 40176 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 870M 22584 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 17592 (78%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (in units of megabytes per second) that can be moved across the external memory interface within a second. The number is calculated by multiplying the card's bus width by the speed of its memory. In the case of DDR memory, it must be multiplied by 2 again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that are processed per second. This number is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the video card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed in a second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the graphics card could possibly write to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is worked out by multiplying the number of Raster Operations Pipelines by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the max fill rate.
