GeForce 810M vs Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB

Intro

The GeForce 810M comes with a GPU core clock speed of 738 MHz, and the 1024 MB of DDR3 RAM runs at 900 MHz through a 64-bit bus. It also is made up of 48 Stream Processors, 8 Texture Address Units, and 4 Raster Operation Units.

Compare those specs to the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB, which has clock speeds of 650 MHz on the GPU, and 1000 MHz on the 1024 MB of GDDR5 memory. It features 480 SPUs as well as 24 Texture Address Units and 8 ROPs.

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 50 Watts
Difference: 35 Watts (233%)

Memory Bandwidth

In theory, the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB will be 344% faster than the GeForce 810M in general, because of its greater data rate. (explain)

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 64000 MB/sec
GeForce 810M 14400 MB/sec
Difference: 49600 (344%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB is quite a bit (approximately 164%) better at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce 810M. (explain)

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 15600 Mtexels/sec
GeForce 810M 5904 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 9696 (164%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB is much (more or less 76%) faster with regards to AA than the GeForce 810M, and also will be capable of handling higher screen resolutions while still performing well. (explain)

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 5200 Mpixels/sec
GeForce 810M 2952 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 2248 (76%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of information (measured in MB per second) that can be transported past the external memory interface within a second. The number is calculated by multiplying the bus width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that can be processed per second. This number is calculated by multiplying the total texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the video card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the video card could possibly record to its local memory in one second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is calculated by multiplying the number of colour ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel output rate also depends on lots of other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the maximum fill rate.
