GeForce GTX 1650 vs Radeon RX 6750 XT

Intro

The GeForce GTX 1650 features a GPU clock speed of 1485 MHz, and the 4096 MB of GDDR5 memory is set to run at 2001 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also is made up of 896 SPUs, 56 Texture Address Units, and 32 Raster Operation Units.

Compare that to the Radeon RX 6750 XT, which makes use of a 7 nm design. AMD has clocked the core speed at 2150 MHz. The GDDR6 memory runs at a frequency of 2250 MHz on this specific model. It features 2560 SPUs as well as 160 TAUs and 64 ROPs.

Power Usage and Theoretical Benchmarks

Power Consumption (Max TDP)

GeForce GTX 1650 75 Watts
Radeon RX 6750 XT 250 Watts
Difference: 175 Watts (233%)

Memory Bandwidth

Theoretically speaking, the Radeon RX 6750 XT should be 238% faster than the GeForce GTX 1650 in general, because of its higher data rate. (explain)

Radeon RX 6750 XT 442368 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 1650 131072 MB/sec
Difference: 311296 (238%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6750 XT should be much (approximately 314%) better at texture filtering than the GeForce GTX 1650. (explain)

Radeon RX 6750 XT 344000 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 1650 83160 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 260840 (314%)

Pixel Rate

If using a high resolution is important to you, then the Radeon RX 6750 XT is the winner, by a large margin. (explain)

Radeon RX 6750 XT 137600 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 1650 47520 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 90080 (190%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the largest amount of data (measured in MB per second) that can be moved past the external memory interface in one second. The number is calculated by multiplying the bus width by the speed of its memory. In the case of DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that can be processed per second. This number is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher the texel rate, the better the graphics card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels that the graphics chip could possibly write to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is worked out by multiplying the amount of Raster Operations Pipelines by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also sometimes called Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel fill rate also depends on quite a few other factors, especially the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to reach the max fill rate.
