Power Usage and Theoretical Benchmarks

Memory Bandwidth

In theory, the GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB should be 296% faster than the Radeon R7 M360 overall, because of its higher bandwidth. (explain)

GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB 63360 MB/sec
Radeon R7 M360 16000 MB/sec
Difference: 47360 (296%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon R7 M360 will be a little bit (about 10%) better at AF than the GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB. (explain)

Radeon R7 M360 27000 Mtexels/sec
GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB 24624 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 2376 (10%)

Pixel Rate

The GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB is a small bit (approximately 14%) more effective at full screen anti-aliasing than the Radeon R7 M360, and capable of handling higher screen resolutions without slowing down too much. (explain)

GeForce 8800 GTS (G80) 640MB 10260 Mpixels/sec
Radeon R7 M360 9000 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 1260 (14%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the largest amount of information (in units of MB per second) that can be moved over the external memory interface in one second. It's calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the card's memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This is worked out by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the graphics card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum amount of pixels the graphics card can possibly write to the local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is calculated by multiplying the amount of ROPs by the the core clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on lots of other factors, especially the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to reach the max fill rate.
