Geforce GTX 770 224384 MB/sec
Difference: 111616 (50%)

Texel Rate

The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is quite a bit (about 31%) more effective at AF than the Geforce GTX 770. (explain)

GeForce GTX 980 Ti 176000 Mtexels/sec
Geforce GTX 770 133888 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 42112 (31%)

Pixel Rate

The GeForce GTX 980 Ti is quite a bit (more or less 187%) more effective at FSAA than the Geforce GTX 770, and should be able to handle higher resolutions while still performing well. (explain)

GeForce GTX 980 Ti 96000 Mpixels/sec
Geforce GTX 770 33472 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 62528 (187%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (in units of MB per second) that can be transported past the external memory interface in a second. It is calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by its memory clock speed. In the case of DDR memory, it should be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the card's memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that are processed per second. This is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. The better the texel rate, the better the graphics card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels applied in a second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the video card could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is calculated by multiplying the amount of ROPs by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel rate also depends on lots of other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
