Compare any two graphics cards:
GeForce GTX 550 Ti vs Radeon HD 7750
IntroThe GeForce GTX 550 Ti has a clock frequency of 900 MHz and a GDDR5 memory speed of 1026 MHz. It also features a 192-bit memory bus, and makes use of a 40 nm design. It features 192 SPUs, 32 TAUs, and 24 Raster Operation Units.Compare those specs to the Radeon HD 7750, which comes with a GPU core clock speed of 800 MHz, and 1024 MB of GDDR5 RAM set to run at 1125 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also features 512 Stream Processors, 32 Texture Address Units, and 16 Raster Operation Units.

3DMark Fire Strike Graphics Score
Power Usage and Theoretical BenchmarksPower Consumption (Max TDP)
Memory BandwidthPerformance-wise, the GeForce GTX 550 Ti should in theory be a lot superior to the Radeon HD 7750 in general. (explain)
Texel RateThe GeForce GTX 550 Ti is a bit (more or less 13%) more effective at texture filtering than the Radeon HD 7750. (explain)
Pixel RateThe GeForce GTX 550 Ti is much (about 69%) more effective at anti-aliasing than the Radeon HD 7750, and capable of handling higher screen resolutions without slowing down too much. (explain)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit. Price Comparison

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of information (in units of megabytes per second) that can be transferred across the external memory interface in one second. It is worked out by multiplying the bus width by the speed of its memory. In the case of DDR memory, the result should be multiplied by 2 again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and higher screen resolutions. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied per second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total amount of texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in a second. Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the graphics card can possibly write to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is worked out by multiplying the amount of colour ROPs by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - aka Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, especially the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
