Compare any two graphics cards:
GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 vs Radeon HD 6670 (OEM)
IntroThe GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 features a core clock frequency of 550 MHz and a GDDR5 memory speed of 850 MHz. It also uses a 128-bit bus, and uses a 40 nm design. It features 96 SPUs, 32 Texture Address Units, and 8 ROPs.Compare those specs to the Radeon HD 6670 (OEM), which has GPU clock speed of 800 MHz, and 512 MB of GDDR5 RAM set to run at 1000 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also features 480 SPUs, 24 TAUs, and 8 Raster Operation Units.

Power Usage and Theoretical BenchmarksPower Consumption (Max TDP)
Memory BandwidthTheoretically, the Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) should perform just a bit faster than the GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 overall. (explain)
Texel RateThe Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) should be just a bit (approximately 9%) better at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce GT 240 GDDR5. (explain)
Pixel RateIf using a high screen resolution is important to you, then the Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) is a better choice, by far. (explain)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit. Price Comparison

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of data (counted in megabytes per second) that can be transferred past the external memory interface in one second. The number is worked out by multiplying the bus width by its memory clock speed. If it uses DDR type RAM, it should be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The higher the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and higher screen resolutions. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are processed in one second. This number is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the video card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels applied in one second. Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics card can possibly write to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is worked out by multiplying the amount of Render Output Units by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel rate is also dependant on many other factors, especially the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to reach the maximum fill rate.
