Memory Bandwidth

The Radeon RX 6500 XT, in theory, should perform much faster than the GeForce GTX 1050 overall. (explain)

Radeon RX 6500 XT 147456 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 1050 114688 MB/sec
Difference: 32768 (29%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6500 XT will be much (approximately 160%) more effective at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce GTX 1050. (explain)

Radeon RX 6500 XT 140800 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 1050 54160 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 86640 (160%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon RX 6500 XT should be much (approximately 62%) faster with regards to FSAA than the GeForce GTX 1050, and also capable of handling higher resolutions while still performing well. (explain)

Radeon RX 6500 XT 70400 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 1050 43328 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 27072 (62%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the largest amount of data (in units of MB per second) that can be transported past the external memory interface within a second. It's calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type RAM, it should be multiplied by 2 again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The better the memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, HDR and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This is worked out by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels applied per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics card could possibly write to the local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is calculated by multiplying the number of colour ROPs by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel rate also depends on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the max fill rate.
