GeForce GTX 650 Ti vs Radeon RX 6900 XT

Intro

The GeForce GTX 650 Ti has clock speeds of 928 MHz on the GPU, and 1350 MHz on the 1024 MB of GDDR5 RAM. It features 768 SPUs along with 64 TAUs and 16 Rasterization Operator Units.

Compare that to the Radeon RX 6900 XT, which features a GPU core clock speed of 1825 MHz, and 16384 MB of GDDR6 memory set to run at 2000 MHz through a 256-bit bus. It also is comprised of 5120 Stream Processors, 320 TAUs, and 128 Raster Operation Units.

GeForce GTX 650 Ti 110 Watts
Radeon RX 6900 XT 300 Watts
Difference: 190 Watts (173%)

Memory Bandwidth

Theoretically speaking, the Radeon RX 6900 XT should be 507% faster than the GeForce GTX 650 Ti in general, due to its greater bandwidth. (explain)

Radeon RX 6900 XT 524288 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 650 Ti 86400 MB/sec
Difference: 437888 (507%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6900 XT is much (more or less 883%) faster with regards to texture filtering than the GeForce GTX 650 Ti. (explain)

Radeon RX 6900 XT 584000 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 650 Ti 59392 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 524608 (883%)

Pixel Rate

If running with a high screen resolution is important to you, then the Radeon RX 6900 XT is a better choice, by far. (explain)

Radeon RX 6900 XT 233600 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 650 Ti 14848 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 218752 (1473%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (measured in megabytes per second) that can be moved past the external memory interface in a second. It is calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by its memory clock speed. If the card has DDR type memory, it should be multiplied by 2 once again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that are processed in one second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the video card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the graphics card can possibly write to the local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is calculated by multiplying the amount of ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the max fill rate.
