Radeon HD 7750 vs Radeon RX 6800 XT

Intro

The Radeon HD 7750 features a GPU core speed of 800 MHz, and the 1024 MB of GDDR5 memory runs at 1125 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also features 512 SPUs, 32 TAUs, and 16 ROPs.

Compare those specifications to the Radeon RX 6800 XT, which features GPU core speed of 1825 MHz, and 16384 MB of GDDR6 RAM set to run at 2000 MHz through a 256-bit bus. It also is comprised of 4608 Stream Processors, 288 TAUs, and 128 ROPs.

Theoretically speaking, the Radeon RX 6800 XT will be 628% faster than the Radeon HD 7750 overall, due to its higher bandwidth. (explain)

Radeon RX 6800 XT 524288 MB/sec
Radeon HD 7750 72000 MB/sec
Difference: 452288 (628%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6800 XT should be much (about 1953%) faster with regards to AF than the Radeon HD 7750. (explain)

Radeon RX 6800 XT 525600 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 7750 25600 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 500000 (1953%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon RX 6800 XT should be a lot (about 1725%) more effective at AA than the Radeon HD 7750, and also will be capable of handling higher resolutions while still performing well. (explain)

Radeon RX 6800 XT 233600 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 7750 12800 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 220800 (1725%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the max amount of information (counted in megabytes per second) that can be transferred past the external memory interface in a second. It is calculated by multiplying the bus width by its memory clock speed. If the card has DDR type memory, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This figure is worked out by multiplying the total number of texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher the texel rate, the better the graphics card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics chip can possibly record to the local memory in one second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is calculated by multiplying the amount of ROPs by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - aka Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to reach the maximum fill rate.
