Radeon RX 5500 XT 229376 MB/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 26496 MB/sec
Difference: 202880 (766%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 5500 XT should be quite a bit (approximately 1314%) faster with regards to AF than the Radeon HD 3690/3830. (explain)

Radeon RX 5500 XT 151096 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 10688 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 140408 (1314%)

Pixel Rate

If running with high levels of AA is important to you, then the Radeon RX 5500 XT is the winner, by a large margin. (explain)

Radeon RX 5500 XT 54944 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 10688 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 44256 (414%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (counted in megabytes per second) that can be moved over the external memory interface in one second. It is calculated by multiplying the card's bus width by the speed of its memory. If it uses DDR RAM, the result should be multiplied by 2 again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied per second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher the texel rate, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels applied in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels the video card can possibly record to the local memory in one second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is calculated by multiplying the amount of colour ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also sometimes called Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel fill rate also depends on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
