Radeon HD 6950 2GB 200 Watts
Difference: 122 Watts (156%)

Memory Bandwidth

Theoretically speaking, the Radeon HD 6950 2GB will be 525% faster than the Radeon HD 3650 overall, due to its greater bandwidth. (explain)

Radeon HD 6950 2GB 160000 MB/sec
Radeon HD 3650 25600 MB/sec
Difference: 134400 (525%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon HD 6950 2GB should be much (approximately 1114%) faster with regards to AF than the Radeon HD 3650. (explain)

Radeon HD 6950 2GB 70400 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 3650 5800 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 64600 (1114%)

Pixel Rate

If running with lots of anti-aliasing is important to you, then the Radeon HD 6950 2GB is superior to the Radeon HD 3650, and very much so. (explain)

Radeon HD 6950 2GB 25600 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 3650 2900 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 22700 (783%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the largest amount of information (counted in megabytes per second) that can be transferred over the external memory interface within a second. It's worked out by multiplying the interface width by its memory clock speed. In the case of DDR type RAM, the result should be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The higher the card's memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that can be processed in one second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics chip could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is worked out by multiplying the amount of Render Output Units by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - aka Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on many other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
