Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB vs Radeon RX 6700 XT

Intro

The Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB uses a 40 nm design. AMD has clocked the core frequency at 650 MHz. The GDDR3 RAM runs at a speed of 900 MHz on this card. It features 480 SPUs along with 24 TAUs and 8 ROPs.

Compare those specifications to the Radeon RX 6700 XT, which has core speeds of 2321 MHz on the GPU, and 2000 MHz on the (Unknown) MB of GDDR6 memory. It features 2560 SPUs as well as 160 Texture Address Units and 64 Rasterization Operator Units.

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB 50 Watts
Radeon RX 6700 XT 230 Watts
Difference: 180 Watts (360%)

Memory Bandwidth

The Radeon RX 6700 XT, in theory, should be quite a bit faster than the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB in general. (explain)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 393216 MB/sec
Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB 28800 MB/sec
Difference: 364416 (1265%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon RX 6700 XT will be quite a bit (about 2281%) more effective at anisotropic filtering than the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB. (explain)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 371360 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB 15600 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 355760 (2281%)

Pixel Rate

If using a high resolution is important to you, then the Radeon RX 6700 XT is the winner, and very much so. (explain)

Radeon RX 6700 XT 148544 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 1GB 5200 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 143344 (2757%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of data (measured in megabytes per second) that can be transported past the external memory interface in one second. The number is calculated by multiplying the interface width by the speed of its memory. In the case of DDR RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied per second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total texture units by the core clock speed of the chip. The higher the texel rate, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels the graphics card could possibly write to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is worked out by multiplying the amount of ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - aka Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel output rate is also dependant on lots of other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
