GeForce GTX 750 vs Radeon RX 6900 XT

Intro

The GeForce GTX 750 features clock speeds of 1020 MHz on the GPU, and 1250 MHz on the 1024 MB of GDDR5 RAM. It features 512 SPUs along with 32 TAUs and 16 Rasterization Operator Units.

Compare all that to the Radeon RX 6900 XT, which comes with a core clock frequency of 1825 MHz and a GDDR6 memory speed of 2000 MHz. It also makes use of a 256-bit bus, and uses a 7 nm design. It is comprised of 5120 SPUs, 320 TAUs, and 128 Raster Operation Units.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the largest amount of data (in units of MB per second) that can be transported across the external memory interface in a second. It's worked out by multiplying the bus width by its memory speed. If it uses DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The better the memory bandwidth, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied per second. This number is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The better the texel rate, the better the graphics card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels applied in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum amount of pixels the video card could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is worked out by multiplying the amount of Raster Operations Pipelines by the the core clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel fill rate is also dependant on lots of other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the max fill rate.
