As far as performance goes, the GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 should in theory be a lot superior to the GeForce GT 340 in general. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 144000 MB/sec
GeForce GT 340 54400 MB/sec
Difference: 89600 (165%)

Texel Rate

The GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 is quite a bit (approximately 133%) faster with regards to texture filtering than the GeForce GT 340. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 40992 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GT 340 17600 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 23392 (133%)

Pixel Rate

The GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 will be much (about 565%) faster with regards to full screen anti-aliasing than the GeForce GT 340, and should be capable of handling higher screen resolutions more effectively. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 29280 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GT 340 4400 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 24880 (565%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the max amount of information (counted in MB per second) that can be transported across the external memory interface in a second. It's worked out by multiplying the card's bus width by the speed of its memory. In the case of DDR type RAM, the result should be multiplied by 2 once again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This number is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The higher this number, the better the graphics card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels the video card could possibly record to the local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is worked out by multiplying the amount of colour ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel rate is also dependant on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to reach the max fill rate.
