GeForce GTX 460 150 Watts
GeForce GTX 560 Ti 170 Watts
Difference: 20 Watts (13%)

Memory Bandwidth

Theoretically speaking, the GeForce GTX 560 Ti should perform much faster than the GeForce GTX 460 overall. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 128256 MB/sec
GeForce GTX 460 86400 MB/sec
Difference: 41856 (48%)

Texel Rate

The GeForce GTX 560 Ti should be much (approximately 39%) better at texture filtering than the GeForce GTX 460. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 52608 Mtexels/sec
GeForce GTX 460 37800 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 14808 (39%)

Pixel Rate

The GeForce GTX 560 Ti will be a lot (approximately 62%) better at anti-aliasing than the GeForce GTX 460, and also able to handle higher resolutions without losing too much performance. (explain)

GeForce GTX 560 Ti 26304 Mpixels/sec
GeForce GTX 460 16200 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 10104 (62%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (measured in megabytes per second) that can be transferred past the external memory interface in a second. It is calculated by multiplying the interface width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type memory, it should be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the card's memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This is worked out by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the graphics card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels that the graphics card could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is worked out by multiplying the amount of Raster Operations Pipelines by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel fill rate is also dependant on lots of other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to reach the maximum fill rate.
