Radeon HD 7750 vs Radeon RX 5600 XT

Intro

The Radeon HD 7750 makes use of a 28 nm design. AMD has set the core speed at 800 MHz. The GDDR5 memory runs at a frequency of 1125 MHz on this specific model. It features 512 SPUs as well as 32 Texture Address Units and 16 ROPs.

Compare those specifications to the Radeon RX 5600 XT, which features a clock speed of 1375 MHz and a GDDR6 memory frequency of 1500 MHz. It also features a 192-bit bus, and uses a 7 nm design. It is comprised of 2304 SPUs, 144 TAUs, and 64 ROPs.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of data (measured in MB per second) that can be transferred across the external memory interface within a second. It's calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by its memory speed. If it uses DDR memory, it should be multiplied by 2 again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The higher the card's memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that can be applied per second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The better the texel rate, the better the card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics chip can possibly write to its local memory in one second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is calculated by multiplying the number of Render Output Units by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel fill rate also depends on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the max fill rate.
