Radeon R9 M395X 125 Watts
Difference: 15 Watts (14%)

Memory Bandwidth

The Radeon R7 370 4G should theoretically perform a little bit faster than the Radeon R9 M395X in general. (explain)

Radeon R7 370 4G 179200 MB/sec
Radeon R9 M395X 160000 MB/sec
Difference: 19200 (12%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon R9 M395X should be a lot (about 48%) more effective at texture filtering than the Radeon R7 370 4G. (explain)

Radeon R9 M395X 92544 Mtexels/sec
Radeon R7 370 4G 62400 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 30144 (48%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon R7 370 4G will be quite a bit (approximately 35%) more effective at AA than the Radeon R9 M395X, and also should be able to handle higher resolutions without losing too much performance. (explain)

Radeon R7 370 4G 31200 Mpixels/sec
Radeon R9 M395X 23136 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 8064 (35%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the max amount of information (counted in megabytes per second) that can be transferred over the external memory interface in one second. The number is worked out by multiplying the interface width by its memory clock speed. If the card has DDR type memory, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the card's memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, HDR and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are applied per second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total number of texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the graphics card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in a second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum amount of pixels that the graphics card can possibly write to the local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is calculated by multiplying the number of colour ROPs by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also sometimes called Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel fill rate also depends on many other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
