Theoretically speaking, the Radeon R9 M385X will be 262% faster than the Radeon HD 3690/3830 overall, due to its higher data rate. (explain)

Radeon R9 M385X 96000 MB/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 26496 MB/sec
Difference: 69504 (262%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon R9 M385X is a lot (approximately 476%) more effective at AF than the Radeon HD 3690/3830. (explain)

Radeon R9 M385X 61600 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 10688 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 50912 (476%)

Pixel Rate

The Radeon R9 M385X will be a lot (approximately 65%) more effective at FSAA than the Radeon HD 3690/3830, and capable of handling higher resolutions more effectively. (explain)

Radeon R9 M385X 17600 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 3690/3830 10688 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 6912 (65%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of data (in units of MB per second) that can be moved across the external memory interface in a second. It's calculated by multiplying the card's interface width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 again. If it uses DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and higher screen resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are applied per second. This number is calculated by multiplying the total amount of texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The better the texel rate, the better the graphics card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels processed in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels the graphics card could possibly write to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is calculated by multiplying the number of ROPs by the the core speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - sometimes also referred to as Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel rate is also dependant on many other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
