Power Usage and Theoretical Benchmarks

Memory Bandwidth

The Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB should in theory be quite a bit faster than the Radeon R5 M255 in general. (explain)

Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 64000 MB/sec
Radeon R5 M255 16000 MB/sec
Difference: 48000 (300%)

Texel Rate

The Radeon R5 M255 is quite a bit (more or less 21%) faster with regards to anisotropic filtering than the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB. (explain)

Radeon R5 M255 18800 Mtexels/sec
Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 15600 Mtexels/sec
Difference: 3200 (21%)

Pixel Rate

If running with a high resolution is important to you, then the Radeon R5 M255 is superior to the Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB, by a large margin. (explain)

Radeon R5 M255 7520 Mpixels/sec
Radeon HD 6570 (OEM) 2GB 5200 Mpixels/sec
Difference: 2320 (45%)

Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit.

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the max amount of data (counted in MB per second) that can be transported across the external memory interface in one second. It's calculated by multiplying the interface width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR type RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The better the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions.

Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum texture map elements (texels) that are processed per second. This is calculated by multiplying the total amount of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The higher the texel rate, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in one second.

Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics card could possibly write to its local memory in one second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The number is calculated by multiplying the number of ROPs by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for drawing the pixels (image) on the screen. The actual pixel rate is also dependant on many other factors, especially the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
