GeForce GTX 580 vs GeForce GTX 750 Ti
IntroThe GeForce GTX 580 comes with a clock speed of 772 MHz and a GDDR5 memory frequency of 1002 MHz. It also makes use of a 384-bit memory bus, and uses a 40 nm design. It is comprised of 512 SPUs, 64 TAUs, and 48 ROPs.Compare that to the GeForce GTX 750 Ti, which has GPU core speed of 1020 MHz, and 2048 MB of GDDR5 RAM running at 1350 MHz through a 128-bit bus. It also is made up of 640 SPUs, 40 Texture Address Units, and 16 Raster Operation Units.

3DMark Fire Strike Graphics Score
Power Usage and Theoretical BenchmarksPower Consumption (Max TDP)
Memory BandwidthThe GeForce GTX 580, in theory, should perform a lot faster than the GeForce GTX 750 Ti in general. (explain)
Texel RateThe GeForce GTX 580 is quite a bit (approximately 21%) better at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce GTX 750 Ti. (explain)
Pixel RateThe GeForce GTX 580 is a lot (about 127%) more effective at FSAA than the GeForce GTX 750 Ti, and also should be able to handle higher screen resolutions while still performing well. (explain)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit. Price Comparison

Display Specifications
Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the largest amount of data (counted in megabytes per second) that can be transferred past the external memory interface in a second. It is calculated by multiplying the card's bus width by the speed of its memory. If it uses DDR RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 again. If DDR5, multiply by ANOTHER 2x. The higher the bandwidth is, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and higher screen resolutions. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that can be processed in one second. This figure is calculated by multiplying the total texture units of the card by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the card will be at texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in one second. Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum amount of pixels that the graphics card can possibly record to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is worked out by multiplying the amount of Raster Operations Pipelines by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for filling the screen with pixels (the image). The actual pixel output rate also depends on lots of other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
