Compare any two graphics cards:
GeForce GTX 560 Ti vs Radeon HD 7850
IntroThe GeForce GTX 560 Ti uses a 40 nm design. nVidia has set the core speed at 822 MHz. The GDDR5 RAM works at a frequency of 1002 MHz on this specific model. It features 384 SPUs as well as 64 TAUs and 32 ROPs.Compare those specifications to the Radeon HD 7850, which comes with a GPU core clock speed of 860 MHz, and 2048 MB of GDDR5 memory set to run at 1200 MHz through a 256-bit bus. It also is made up of 1024 Stream Processors, 64 TAUs, and 32 ROPs.

3DMark Fire Strike Graphics Score
Power Usage and Theoretical BenchmarksPower Consumption (Max TDP)
Memory BandwidthIn theory, the Radeon HD 7850 is 20% quicker than the GeForce GTX 560 Ti in general, because of its greater bandwidth. (explain)
Texel RateThe Radeon HD 7850 is just a bit (approximately 5%) better at anisotropic filtering than the GeForce GTX 560 Ti. (explain)
Pixel RateThe Radeon HD 7850 is a bit (approximately 5%) more effective at anti-aliasing than the GeForce GTX 560 Ti, and will be able to handle higher resolutions more effectively. (explain)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit. Price Comparison

Memory Bandwidth: Bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (in units of MB per second) that can be transferred over the external memory interface within a second. It's worked out by multiplying the bus width by the speed of its memory. If the card has DDR RAM, it must be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The better the memory bandwidth, the better the card will be in general. It especially helps with anti-aliasing, High Dynamic Range and high resolutions. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum amount of texture map elements (texels) that are applied in one second. This number is calculated by multiplying the total texture units of the card by the core clock speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels per second. Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the maximum number of pixels that the graphics card could possibly record to its local memory per second - measured in millions of pixels per second. The figure is calculated by multiplying the amount of Render Output Units by the clock speed of the card. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - aka Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel fill rate also depends on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the memory bandwidth is, the lower the potential to get to the max fill rate.
