Compare any two graphics cards:
GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 vs Radeon HD 6670 (OEM)
IntroThe GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 comes with a core clock speed of 550 MHz and a GDDR5 memory frequency of 850 MHz. It also makes use of a 128-bit bus, and makes use of a 40 nm design. It is made up of 96 SPUs, 32 TAUs, and 8 Raster Operation Units.Compare those specifications to the Radeon HD 6670 (OEM), which features clock speeds of 800 MHz on the GPU, and 1000 MHz on the 512 MB of GDDR5 RAM. It features 480 SPUs as well as 24 Texture Address Units and 8 Rasterization Operator Units.

Power Usage and Theoretical BenchmarksPower Consumption (Max TDP)
Memory BandwidthIn theory, the Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) should be a small bit faster than the GeForce GT 240 GDDR5 in general. (explain)
Texel RateThe Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) will be a little bit (about 9%) better at AF than the GeForce GT 240 GDDR5. (explain)
Pixel RateThe Radeon HD 6670 (OEM) will be much (about 45%) more effective at FSAA than the GeForce GT 240 GDDR5, and also will be capable of handling higher screen resolutions without losing too much performance. (explain)
Please note that the above 'benchmarks' are all just theoretical - the results were calculated based on the card's specifications, and real-world performance may (and probably will) vary at least a bit. Price Comparison

Memory Bandwidth: Memory bandwidth is the maximum amount of information (in units of megabytes per second) that can be moved past the external memory interface within a second. The number is worked out by multiplying the interface width by its memory clock speed. If the card has DDR memory, it should be multiplied by 2 once again. If DDR5, multiply by 4 instead. The higher the bandwidth is, the faster the card will be in general. It especially helps with AA, HDR and higher screen resolutions. Texel Rate: Texel rate is the maximum number of texture map elements (texels) that are applied per second. This figure is worked out by multiplying the total number of texture units by the core speed of the chip. The better this number, the better the card will be at handling texture filtering (anisotropic filtering - AF). It is measured in millions of texels in a second. Pixel Rate: Pixel rate is the most pixels that the graphics chip could possibly record to its local memory in a second - measured in millions of pixels per second. Pixel rate is calculated by multiplying the amount of colour ROPs by the the card's clock speed. ROPs (Raster Operations Pipelines - also called Render Output Units) are responsible for outputting the pixels (image) to the screen. The actual pixel rate also depends on quite a few other factors, most notably the memory bandwidth of the card - the lower the bandwidth is, the lower the ability to get to the maximum fill rate.
